GPS DEVICES & MAPPING SERVICES
Great to Use..... except our back roads, especially at night, are tricky...

An easy 2½ Hours from NYC
From New York City, take the New York Thruway to Exit 16 (Harriman). This puts you directly on Route 17. Proceed on Route 17 West to Exit 96, Livingston Manor Exit.

At bottom of the Exit Ramp make a left onto DeBruce Road and go exactly 7½ miles. Make a right after our sign onto Conklin Hill Road. Slow down the office is on the right just before the Covered Bridge.

 1¼ Hours From Binghamton
Take Route 17 East to Exit 96, the Livingston Manor. At the top of the Exit ramp there is a Stop Sign. Make a right onto White Roe Lake Road. Go about 1/10 mile to Stop Sign and make left onto Old Route 17. Go about 1/10 mile make left onto DeBruce Road. Go 8 miles make a right just past our sign onto Conklin Hill Road. Slow down the office is on the right just before the Covered Bridge.

IMPORTANT:  Once you get off Route 17 onto DeBruce Road, clock out your mileage. This is a twisty road, and at night it seems much, much longer.

Look for our large brown campground sign with yellow writing on the right, just before Conklin Hill Road.

Folks with Travel Trailers: DO NOT get off at Exit 98 Parksville when you exit Rt 17. This way is very steep and difficult for trailers. Take Exit 96 Livingston Manor, just follow directions above.
Everyone Else: If you take Exit 98 Parksville be careful, it will be tricky to follow. It is a little shorter than our directions from Exit 96 listed above, but much easier to get lost, especially at night.

Problems: Your GPS will take you on Cooley Road then onto either Lily Pond Road or Anderson Road.   Read below for information on both routes.

Lily Pond Road:  When you exit the highway, at Exit 98 GO SLOW. You are only going 1/10th mile and you must make a tight left hand turn onto Lily Pond Road. It is very easy to miss this road. You will then go down a short steep hill.

The road then curves and goes up and turns into Hunter Lake Road, without you knowing it. This is where most people get lost. There are no road signs and it’s hard to tell which way to go. The road either goes straight (Lily Pond Road) or curves to the right (Hunter Lake Road). You want to curve to the right.

Continue on this road to the Stop Sign. Make a Right onto Willowemoc Road (also known as DeBruce Road). Go about 1.5 miles and make a Right onto Conklin Hill Road.

Anderson Road: If your GPS tells you to turn onto Anderson Road** - IGNORE IT and keep going straight.

Your GPS will re-adjust.  Just keep following Cooley Road until the Stop Sign. Make a left hand turn, down a short hill. Make left at the Stop Sign.  Go a couple of miles and make your first left onto Conklin Hill Road. This section of Conklin Hill Road is (somewhat) paved.  Office is just before the Covered Bridge, about a 1/3 of a mile on your right.

**If you take Anderson Road it will put you onto the top of Conklin Hill Road.  This section of the road is CLOSED! It is a washed out, rutted dirt road, you will either bottom out or get stuck.

CELL PHONE ALERT: Once you get off the highway, cell phone service is very spotty. If you try to call us, I most likely will not be able to understand you.   Even if you yell..

(Why don't we have more signs on this road?   Signs are very regulated around here. We do put some extra ones up in the summer, but they usually get taken down right away.)

BUS TRANSPORTATION

Shortline runs a bus into the nearby town of Liberty, which is about 25 minutes from the campground. At the bus stop in Liberty there are two taxi companies.   Sureway Taxi (845)292-8805 and Ace Taxi (845)292-4141

IMPORTANT: Make certain that you tell the taxi driver you want to go to Covered Bridge Campsite on Conklin Hill Road, (intersection with DeBruce-Willowemoc Road).

There are several Covered Bridges and a Covered Bridge Park in Livingston Manor. There are times the drivers get confused as to where you want to go.   Please verify where you are, Before you pay the driver and he leaves. When you pull into our driveway, you will see a sign that says “Covered Bridge Campsite”.
