About the Willowemoc
The Willowemoc is renowned as a world class trout fishery. The headwaters the Willowemoc are located upstream of the campground.
Ideal for brook trout and abundant with wild native fish. Downstream, the Willowemoc supports a wild population of brook and brown
trout. It is stocked several times a year.
Downstream from Livingston Manor to Roscoe, all the water in this stretch is open to the public. The lower Willowemoc offers excellent
pools and riffles, numerous and deep enough to hold large trout. A no-kill section is east of Roscoe. The Willowemoc runs into the
Beaverkill river at Junction Pool.
While we own the riverbed, the State owns the water. NYS requires everyone ages 16 and up to have a
NYS Fishing License. Available at NYS sporting goods store, including Walmarts in their fishing department.
